Rebecca Simons
Rebecca Simons is the founder and owner of Blackbird Pilates.

Rebecca began her training with The Physical Mind Institute method before transitioning to Stott, a form of pilates best know for integrating modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation.

Throughout her career she has been influenced by her trainers, instructor colleague Eve Kerrigan and physical therapist Amy Fee. Their techniques and approaches have inspired Simons to create her own unique style.

With Rebecca, no session is ever the same. She fuses pilates, yoga and strength training all the while maintaining the integrity of Stott and a strong sense of flow.

Rebecca taught pilates from 2002 to 2007 at The Reform School (formerly The Nebraska Studio) in Santa Monica. Since 2003, she has served as head of the pilates program at the Beach Club in Santa Monica. Additionally, she teaches mat pilates at Santa Monica Yoga.

Her clientele ranges from beginners to the advanced, from professional athletes to Hollywood celebrities.

A southern California native, Rebecca graduated from UCLA with degrees in both Classics and Theater. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking and outdoor concerts.
